When to Plant:
Both bare root deciduous, shrubs evergreen trees and can be planted in either the spring or fall. These varieties can be planted at anytime during the growing season if they are in a container, balled and burlapped. They must be kept well watered.
You will have the most success with deciduous when they are planted in the spring after the frost is out of the soil . In the fall deciduous plants can be planted any time after the leaves begin to change colour until the ground freezes.
In the spring keep your decidious trees and shrubs well watered until about 4 weeks after the trees have leafed out. Plant the trees and shrubs no later than mid september, this will give the trees and shrubs time to grow new roots before the frost sets in.
